Micajah Ryan has worked as a recording engineer for over 20 years, working with some of the best in the business, including: Bob Dylan, Guns N' Roses, Megadeth, Brian Wilson, John Prine, LA Guns, Paul Williams, Graham Nash and many more. Micajah is currently living in the Wichita area and is the head engineer at Air House Studios. In addition to engineering, Micajah also teaches recording engineering classes at Air House Music Academy and is a partner in the indie record label, Air House Records.
Ryan Rodine is a local expert in digital recording and electronic music. Ryan completes the Air House team by adding digital and software expertise to Micajah's analog and engineering mastery. In addition to engineering, Ryan is a also partner of Air House Records.
Audio Recording may require at least as much discipline and commitment as learning to play an instrument well. The number of skills involved and mental acuity needed is incomprehensible to the average person. Air House lessons cover the technical, theoretical and creative aspects of music, providing a well rounded and balanced approach to music instruction. Students are taught proper technique to allow them to reach their full technical ability on their instrument. They are taught basic music theory so that they have an understanding of what they are doing musically. These things help them to become actual musicians rather than simply someone who can play a few songs on an instrument. Students are also encouraged to cultivate and explore their own musical creativity.
