Early Learners, ages 4-6
General Music and Singing for Early Learners, ages 4-6
What is the right age to start music lessons? How can I encourage my young child to be a great musician with good habits and a strong foundation? How do I prepare my pre-K child for Kindergarten music class? Can music lessons be fun for a pre-K child or Kindergartner? These are some of the questions parents have about music education and early beginners. Jamie addresses these concerns and is offering lessons to younger learners who may or may not have any music or singing exposure, and who want that extra level of fun. During these customized half-hour lessons, explorers will learn the basics of music through movement, reading, singing, listening, playing instruments and more. Encouraging fun, musical exploration and education at an early age provides the child with a level of preparation for years of enjoyable musical studies ahead. A hands-on, minds-open approach keeps the students’ young body active while Jamie’s fun-loving personality keeps the lessons relaxed, magical and low-pressure. This is surely a great way to begin a lifestyle in music.
About the teacher:
Raised in a musical family, Jamie Whetmore quickly grew to love singing. Harmonizing with her family around the dinner table she would fantasize of being immersed in music forever. Not a year has gone by since that she wasn’t in a choir, musical group or providing some form of child care.
